The Saints & Sinners class continues with a DVD received from Lutheran Hour Ministries entitled  "The Challenge of Islam, Part 1, What is Islam?"  In this Bible Study, Sam Shamoun, an Arab Christian, presents an eye-opening perspective on Islam.  Some of the Topics covered include Angels, Jinn and the Qur'an, Islamic Teachings about Jesus, Islamic Teachings about Muhammad, 70 Virgins & Paradise, Predestinations and the Pillars of Islam.  The study continues  with Parts 2 & 3 on separate DVD's.   Estimates put Muslims at well over one billion throughout the world, yet their beliefs, religious practices, and social philosophy remain confusing to non-Muslims.  Shamoun sheds valuable light on Islam's historical development and explains in layman's terms how this faith--born on the Arabian Peninsula 2,500 years ago--is practiced by modern Muslims today.  Throughout this study, Shamoun clearly articulates the hope Christians share in the saving grace of Jesus against the works-based futility inherent in Islam's messages.

Your marriage is much more than a union between you and your spouse.  It is a spiritual discipline ideally suited to help you know God more fully and intimately.  Sacred Marriage shifts the focus from marital enrichment to spiritual enrichment in ways that can help you love your mate more.  Whether it is delightful or difficult, your marriage can become a doorway to a closer walk with God.

This study will help us get the most out of the these sessions in the Sacred Marriage small group DVD.  In addition to life-changing insights, you’ll find a wealth of discussion questions to spark meaningful conversations in your group or between you and your spouse, or to simply ponder by yourself.  The guide is also filled with self-assessments, activities, and highlights, all designed to help you engage deeply and prayerfully with the material.  A solid and sacred marriage helps contribute to Christian parenting

Women's Bible Study

Leaders:  Sharon Johnson, Betty Groves & Phyllis Von Fange

9:30 a.m. Wednesdays

In April, the Women’s Bible Class will study several of the articles included in the Augsburg Confession. This document defended the truths of the Scripture and was read in defense of the evangelical faith that is based solely on God’s Word. Our Lutheran Church Missouri Synod teaches the articles of the Augsburg Confession as a presentation of the Christian faith as taught from the truth of the Holy Bible. Come pray, learn and worship with us!. Bring your friends! The group will not meet the Wednesday of Holy Week (April 12th).
